01What does Hainan's zero-tariff policy cover?
Catalogues covering 6,600+ goods entering the island duty-free: raw and auxiliary materials, equipment, vehicles and a range of consumer goods. Whether your products are in scope comes down to exact HS codes and how the goods are used. We check both before you commit to anything.
02How does the 30% value-add rule work?
Goods processed in Hainan that gain at least 30% in value can enter the Chinese mainland tariff-free. It's the FTP's core trade advantage: import inputs at zero tariff, process on the island, sell inward without the duty. Qualification depends on your products and your processing. We verify before you build the plan.
03Do you handle the freight itself?
We coordinate licensed forwarders and carriers rather than run ships, and we own the paperwork, the booking and the timeline. You get one contact instead of five, and the five answer to us.
04Can you clear customs for a company you didn't form?
Yes, provided the entity has import-export rights. If it doesn't, we add them. Licence and customs registration, and then clear your goods. If the entity doesn't exist yet, start at Company Formation.
05What goes wrong most often?
HS code optimism. Choosing the code with the friendlier duty rate and hoping. Customs doesn't hope; it reclassifies, at the port, with your goods waiting. Classify honestly upfront and the rest of the chain behaves. Which is why our trade audit starts there.
